ITE Management Scales Intermodal Fleet With NACPC Acquisition
By absorbing the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative, investment firm ITE Management has expanded its intermodal footprint to over 60,000 assets. The deal integrates 20,000 additional chassis into a portfolio that already includes Milestone Chassis and Trend Intermodal, solidifying the company’s reach across major North American freight corridors.

The acquisition unites three distinct brands under a shared operational umbrella, with NACPC Chief Executive Officer Darren Hawkins assuming leadership of the unified platform. While Milestone, Trend, and NACPC will maintain their individual branding during the initial transition, the merger is designed to leverage collective industry expertise to offer a broader suite of leasing solutions, ranging from daily rentals to customized pool programs.
Jennifer Polli, head of intermodal at ITE, characterized the move as a reinforcement of the firm’s strategy to secure assets capable of generating durable cash flows across market cycles. For ITE, which manages nearly $12 billion in infrastructure, the deal represents a push toward consolidating control over critical transportation equipment. Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and SMG Securities advised ITE on the transaction, while Butler Snow LLP represented NACPC.
