GCG Advisory Partners Targets National Scale with Four Acquisitions
Charlotte-based GCG Advisory Partners has accelerated its expansion in the first half of 2026, reporting a 200% surge in EBITDA following its recapitalization with BharCap Partners. The wealth management aggregator added $1.1 billion in new assets across four strategic acquisitions, effectively finalizing its three-tier national operating model.

The firm’s expansion centers on a flexible infrastructure designed to accommodate independent, broker-dealer, and hybrid RIA structures. This model now serves as the primary engine for attracting practices, with each acquisition filling a specific geographic or operational gap. The latest additions include Gunderson Capital Management, which brought $578 million in assets and launched the firm’s independent RIA channel, and Gateway Capital Advisors, which added over $300 million.
Regional reach also widened significantly during this period. The acquisition of the Knoxville-based Head Investment Partners, led by Daniel Head, established the firm’s inaugural footprint in Tennessee with $180 million in assets. Simultaneously, the firm entered the Northeast market through BlueChip Financial Advisors, a hybrid RIA custodying with Fidelity. According to CEO Joel Burris, the rapid growth remains tied to a strategy of disciplined execution, with the firm shifting focus toward long-term sustainability as it approaches 2027.
