Sidus Space Pivots Toward Commercial Scaling and Defense Expansion

The company has secured approximately $170 million in capital over the past six months, a move intended to provide the financial runway necessary for scaling production. This infusion of capital coincides with the firm’s recent inclusion in the Russell 2000 and 3000 indexes, which has boosted institutional visibility for the NASDAQ-listed entity.

Technological progress remains anchored by the LizzieSat platform, which has moved through several generations of on-orbit testing and validation. Beyond satellite hardware, Sidus is preparing the Fortis VPX digital mission computing platform and its Orlaith AI ecosystem for upcoming customer evaluations. To support these efforts, the company has modernized its 35,000-square-foot facility in Florida to accommodate the scalable manufacturing of orbit-agnostic space systems. These hardware improvements are currently being paired with an expanded presence in the defense and intelligence sectors, highlighted by the company’s involvement in the Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD contract vehicle.
