Investors Target Microsoft Over Alleged Copilot Performance Failures
Investors who purchased Microsoft Corporation stock between May 1, 2025, and January 28, 2026, are being urged to join a class action lawsuit. The litigation centers on claims that the tech giant misled stakeholders regarding the efficacy and market competitiveness of its Copilot AI product line.

The complaint alleges that Microsoft failed to disclose systemic issues plaguing its Copilot offerings, including problems with data siloing, user experience, and interoperability. According to the filing, the company’s flagship AI model performed poorly in benchmark tests against industry rivals, forcing Microsoft to divert significant capital expenditures and computational resources away from its profitable Azure services to address these shortcomings. These strategic pivots reportedly hampered the company's ability to convert commercial Microsoft 365 users into paid Copilot subscribers, causing a loss of market share.
The Gross Law Firm, which is spearheading the action, has set a deadline of August 11, 2026, for shareholders to seek appointment as lead plaintiff. Participation in the suit does not require this specific title, and investors who register their information will be enrolled in portfolio monitoring to receive case updates. The firm asserts that these actions are intended to recover losses incurred when alleged misrepresentations led to the artificial inflation of the company's stock price.
