Sonilo and fal Release Sound Effects 1.0 for Automated Audio Sync

Sonilo and generative media platform fal have launched Sound Effects 1.0, an AI model capable of generating realistic audio synchronized to video footage. By analyzing on-screen motion and environment, the tool allows developers to bypass manual sound design, producing finished audio tracks directly from video input or descriptive text prompts.

Traditional sound design often forces editors to manually align individual assets with specific frames, creating a significant bottleneck in AI video production. Sound Effects 1.0 shifts this process by using the footage itself as a timing foundation. The model identifies scene context and physical actions to generate audio that aligns with transitions, impacts, and environmental cues. Supporting video inputs up to three minutes, the system provides a dual-mode workflow: automatic generation for rapid iteration or prompt-guided creation for specific creative control.

Developer Integration and Workflow

Through an exclusive API partnership, fal now provides day-zero access to the model, allowing teams to integrate synchronized audio directly into video editors, social tools, and game engines. This launch expands the existing collaboration between the two companies, which previously introduced Sonilo Music v1.1. By enabling both music and sound effects to be generated from the same source footage, the platform offers a unified audio pipeline that tracks the pacing and structure of the edit. This integration removes the need for fragmented asset management, allowing creators to generate complex soundscapes—from subtle footsteps to branded product interactions—without leaving their production environment.
