DocDraft and OneNotary Integrate Remote Notarization into Legal Workflow

By embedding OneNotary’s digital notarization tools directly into the DocDraft interface, the two firms are eliminating the final physical hurdle in automated document processing. The partnership allows DocDraft’s 17,000 users to transition from AI-assisted drafting to a legally binding, notarized document without leaving the platform or scheduling in-person meetings.

The integration aims to resolve the friction that often stalls legal procedures once a document is drafted. By providing 24/7 access to remote online notarization, the collaboration ensures that users can complete entire legal workflows in minutes. Taher Hassonjee, CEO of DocDraft, identified notarization as a critical bottleneck for his customers and selected OneNotary for its speed and reliability in handling credentialed human verification.

For OneNotary, the deal represents a expansion of its API-first notarization layer into the consumer legal market. CEO Anant Agrawal noted that while AI and attorney oversight handle the drafting phase, the legal weight of a document still requires human verification. By automating this specific step, the companies intend to make legal services more accessible for individuals and small businesses. Eligible DocDraft subscribers will receive access to the service as part of their current subscription tiers, with specific rollout schedules to be announced in the coming weeks.
