To ensure reliability, the controller features a fail-safe mechanism: if a transmitter signal fails, the unit automatically reverts to float switch data while triggering a Loss of Transmitter Quality Alarm. For multi-pump installations, the software includes pump alternation logic to balance motor wear and tracks cumulative runtime hours to assist with maintenance schedules.

Safety features include configurable alarms for level extremes, pump temperature, and seal integrity. A high-temperature alarm triggers an automatic pump shutdown, while seal failure alerts allow for manual intervention without requiring physical inspections at the pump panel. The application also accommodates non-standard tank shapes, such as horizontal cylinders, by using a characterizer to linearize level signals for accurate monitoring. Configuration remains restricted to engineer-level access to maintain system stability.
