Discord bundles Xbox Game Pass and gaming gear discounts into Nitro
Discord is expanding its Nitro subscription service with a new rewards program, headlined by a starter edition of Xbox Game Pass. By partnering with Microsoft, Logitech, and SteelSeries, the platform aims to add tangible value to its monthly membership beyond standard digital perks like custom emojis and high-definition video streaming.

The newly introduced Xbox Game Pass starter edition grants subscribers access to a library of over 50 games, including titles such as Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, and DayZ. Users also receive ten hours of monthly Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming and a rewards system capable of generating up to $25 annually within the Xbox Store.
Beyond Microsoft, the initiative provides tangible hardware discounts, offering 30 percent off at Logitech G, 15 percent at SteelSeries, and 20 percent at KontrolFreek. Discord is further incentivizing the program by granting members 250 Orbs—the platform's internal currency—each month. Lu Zhang, senior director of product at Discord, stated that securing flagship partners like Microsoft signals the program's intent to scale, with plans to incorporate additional benefits as the service matures.
