Anycubic Launches Photon P1 Max 12K Resin Printer

With an 18.3-liter build volume and a 14-inch 12K monochrome display, Anycubic is targeting professional studios and small-batch manufacturers with its new Photon P1 Max. The machine enters the market today with a tiered presale strategy starting at $849, positioning itself as a high-precision tool for large-scale resin production.

The P1 Max integrates several hardware refinements to handle complex, long-duration print jobs. Its motion system, anchored by a C7-grade ball screw and linear guide rails, achieves a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.01 mm. To manage the physical demands of large-scale resin printing, the device employs Wave Release Technology, which the company claims reduces release force by over 60% compared to standard NFEP films. A 1,900 ml temperature-controlled vat, capable of reaching 35°C, ensures consistent resin flow for materials with viscosities reaching 8000 cps.

Automation features prioritize reliability and ease of use. The Intelligent Leveling System 3.0 conducts pre-print checks, while Dynamic Release 3.0 modulates lift speed based on real-time force feedback. An optional AI inspection system monitors the build process for common failures like bottom-layer detachment or resin residue. Maintenance is designed around modular components, including a tool-free screen removal system and a hinged lid that stabilizes at any angle beyond 45 degrees. Presale pricing is structured in three phases through August 31, starting at $849, with the base price increasing incrementally as the initial promotional period concludes.
