TELUS restructures leadership to consolidate core telecom operations
TELUS Corporation is shaking up its executive ranks to sharpen its focus on core telecom growth, announcing a major reorganization effective September 1. The strategy pivots on consolidating its consumer and business units under a returning veteran while streamlining its global platform businesses to improve margins and decision-making.

David Fuller will rejoin the company as Executive Vice President and Group President of TELUS Communications, taking charge of the unified consumer and business divisions. Fuller, who held various senior roles at TELUS between 2004 and 2019, returns from Searchlight Capital Partners to oversee the company’s primary telecom assets. His previous experience includes stints at Rogers Wireless and Boston Consulting Group, providing a deep background in Canadian network strategy.
Navin Arora, meanwhile, shifts to the role of EVP and Group President of Global Platform Businesses. He will manage TELUS Health, Agriculture & Consumer Goods, and Digital Solutions, while also assuming control of corporate strategy and global ventures. This reorganization marks the departure of Zainul Mawji, who steps down after 25 years. Mawji was instrumental in the rollout of the company's PureFibre network and Optik TV services. CEO Victor Dodig framed the leadership shuffle as the first step in a broader transformation designed to improve customer service and align capital with higher-margin product segments.
