Wistron Opens First U.S. Semiconductor Manufacturing Plant in Fort Worth

The brownfield project features a 160,000-square-foot ISO-8 cleanroom, a dedicated data center, and specialized packaging zones. Gray Construction utilized its integrated architecture and engineering units, including GrayAES and their self-perform arm NexGen, to manage the development from initial concept to completion. The facility is expected to serve as a critical link in the domestic semiconductor supply chain, allowing the Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer to scale its high-end computing output.

Rebekah Gray, President and CEO of Gray Construction, credited the rapid nine-month turnaround to a collaborative relationship between the two firms. Abdul El Baba, Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing, noted that the project underscores the firm's capacity for complex technical execution within tight timelines. The site is now fully operational, representing a significant expansion for Wistron as it seeks to anchor its long-term manufacturing presence within the American market.
