SUNMI Updates SoftPOS to Scale Contactless Payments for Retail

The centerpiece of this update is the integration of CPad with SUNMI’s existing desktop POS systems. This configuration allows staff to handle inventory, ordering, and general operations on a primary terminal while simultaneously processing secure contactless transactions on a dedicated peripheral. By separating these functions, businesses gain a more efficient checkout workflow that minimizes device congestion.

SUNMI is coordinating with payment partners including Soft Space, viva.com, Softpay, OPP, and Rubean to facilitate global deployment. The platform enhancements focus on tightening payment security and streamlining device management protocols.
