Caliber Public Safety Launches AI Assistant for First Responders
Public safety agencies operating in high-pressure, mission-critical environments now have a 24/7 digital assistant to navigate technical documentation. Caliber Public Safety has introduced CALI, an AI-powered tool designed to provide instant, documentation-backed responses for users of its law enforcement and emergency management software suites.
The tool, now live within the Caliber Customer Support HUB, processes natural-language queries to retrieve relevant technical bulletins, training videos, and troubleshooting guides. By centralizing this information, the platform aims to reduce the time staff spend hunting for manual resolutions. When a request exceeds the bot's current knowledge, it automatically generates a support ticket, facilitating a transition to human technicians without disrupting the user's workflow.
Executive Vice President Tammie Wojcieszak noted that the deployment prioritizes utility over novelty, focusing on the specific security and operational constraints of emergency services. Early implementation metrics show a 38.7% deflection rate for Tier 1 support inquiries. Vice President of Support Services Charles Smith stated that the company is currently leveraging unanswered queries to refine the knowledge base, ensuring the system grows more capable as agencies provide feedback. The service requires no additional setup and is available to all current customers at no extra cost.
