Entegrata Hires Simpson Thacher’s Andrew Baker to Lead AI Strategy
Andrew Baker, formerly the Director of Applied AI at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, has joined Entegrata as Chief AI & Data Strategy Officer. His move signals a broader shift in the legal sector, where firms are moving away from fragmented data systems toward centralized lakehouse architectures to support firm-wide AI deployments.

Baker will oversee Entegrata’s AI roadmap, focusing on making internal firm content AI-ready. His mandate centers on ensuring that large language models and other agents can reason accurately over a firm's private data without requiring constant infrastructure rebuilds. By consolidating siloed matter and operational data into a unified source of truth, Entegrata aims to provide the governance and confidentiality necessary for legal practice.
According to CEO Tom Baldwin, the industry currently lacks the foundational layer required to make AI dependable. Baker’s experience at an Am Law 10 firm provides the practical insight needed to bridge the gap between experimental AI demos and scalable production tools. The appointment arrives as the company expands its footprint among major firms, including Cleary Gottlieb, Mayer Brown, and Wilson Sonsini, all of which have recently adopted the platform to streamline their technical architecture.
