S&T Bancorp Authorizes $100 Million Share Buyback
S&T Bancorp, the Indiana-based holding company for S&T Bank, has greenlit a new $100 million share repurchase program. Approved by the board on July 22, the initiative replaces the company’s previous buyback plan and will remain active through August 31, 2027, signaling a fresh approach to capital management.

The authorization allows the bank to acquire its common stock via open market transactions or private negotiations. While the company has set a ceiling of $100 million, the actual execution remains flexible. Management will determine the pace, volume, and pricing of repurchases based on shifting market conditions, the current trading price of STBA shares, and the firm’s ongoing financial performance.
This move terminates any remaining capacity under the previous repurchase program effective July 27, 2026. S&T Bancorp, which manages $9.9 billion in assets and operates across Pennsylvania and Ohio, retains the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the new program at any time without a formal obligation to purchase any specific number of shares.
