Ripple Invests in Notabene to Scale Institutional Stablecoin Payments

Ripple is taking a strategic stake in Notabene, the operator of a massive open network for regulated on-chain transactions. The move aims to integrate Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin into Notabene’s payment infrastructure, creating a bridge for global financial institutions to conduct compliant B2B transactions at a scale exceeding $2 trillion annually.

The partnership focuses on embedding Ripple’s enterprise-grade stablecoin into Notabene Flow, a platform designed to handle complex payment coordination, recurring billing, and automated invoicing. By combining Ripple’s global payment reach with Notabene’s existing network—which currently links over 2,300 institutions across 100 jurisdictions—the companies intend to remove the friction that often stalls traditional banks from adopting digital assets.

Jack McDonald, SVP of Stablecoin at Ripple, noted that institutional adoption hinges on more than just settlement speed; it requires the identity verification and compliance layers that Notabene provides. For Notabene CEO Pelle Braendgaard, this investment marks a transition from pilot programs to production-ready growth. As regulatory frameworks like MiCA in Europe and the GENIUS Act in the United States provide clearer guidelines, the focus has shifted toward securing the infrastructure needed to move high-value assets safely. Notabene plans to leverage this collaboration to expand its service offerings to more financial institutions in the coming quarters.
