The new facility integrates advanced care environments for cardiology, neurology, and oncology, alongside a modernized 49-bed neonatal intensive care unit equipped with high-level monitoring technology. By consolidating these services into purpose-built spaces, the hospital aims to streamline its delivery of complex medical treatments. The project also introduced a dedicated entrance for women and children to improve accessibility and visitor flow.

Beyond clinical capacity, the expansion includes a 23,000-square-foot central kitchen designed to support an on-demand meal delivery model for the entire campus. Regional Vice President Wade Milligan noted that the scale of the development required extensive coordination between construction teams and clinical staff to ensure patient care remained uninterrupted throughout the phased relocation. JE Dunn led construction efforts, with architectural design provided by HKS and CDH Partners.
