Ophthalmologist Atul Kakkar Joins OCLI Vision Practice
Patients across Long Island will gain access to specialized eye care starting July 24, 2026, as Dr. Atul Kakkar joins the OCLI Vision network. The ophthalmologist, known for his expertise in pediatric surgery and complex refractive procedures, will begin seeing patients at the group’s Floral Park, Massapequa, and Woodbury locations.

Dr. Kakkar brings a diverse clinical background to the practice, with specialized training in cataract surgery, LASIK, and the management of both pediatric and adult strabismus. Beyond routine ophthalmic care, his practice includes high-myopia treatments, corneal cross-linking, and glaucoma management. His arrival marks a strategic expansion for OCLI Vision, which continues to integrate sub-specialty talent across its regional footprint.
His medical credentials include a residency at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at the Wills Eye Hospital. An active researcher who has presented at major conferences, Dr. Kakkar emphasizes a transition toward personalized patient outcomes. "I look forward to caring for patients and families throughout Long Island while providing compassionate, state-of-the-art eye care for children and adults alike," he stated regarding his new role. Appointments are currently being accepted at the three designated offices, with scheduling information available through the OCLI Vision website.
