Mesirow Advises on Sale of The Skin Center to Healthcare Private Equity
The Skin Center, a prominent medical spa and cosmetic surgery practice with 14 locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan, has been acquired by a leading middle market healthcare private equity fund. Financial services firm Mesirow acted as the exclusive advisor for the transaction on behalf of the company's previous owners.

Founded in 1981 by Jerry and Dominic Brandy, The Skin Center has grown into a significant player in the aesthetic treatment market, offering services ranging from neurotoxins and dermal fillers to laser resurfacing and cosmetic surgery. The business, previously held by Footbridge Partners and ALZA Capital Partners, has performed over 500,000 treatments throughout its four-decade history.
John Calcagnini, Managing Director at Mesirow Investment Banking, noted that the firm's strategy moving forward includes accelerating growth through de novo openings, potential acquisitions, and enhanced digital marketing. Eric Warden, CEO of The Skin Center, emphasized that the transition marks a new chapter for the brand, crediting the support of Footbridge Partners for the company's recent operational success. Legal counsel for the sale was provided by Honigman LLP.
