Born into a family of engineers, Chothani’s trajectory was solidified early when aptitude testing at age 14 confirmed his natural inclination toward architecture and engineering. This clarity led him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2003, followed by a Master of Science from the University of Bridgeport in 2006. His early career included a foundational stint at Lummus Technology, where he credits mentors such as Ken Catala and Peter Harvard for shaping his professional standards.

Since joining Technip Energies N.V. in 2013, Chothani has evolved through various technical roles, currently serving as a project manager, project engineer, and proposal manager. He oversees proprietary technologies and directs the execution of engineering projects for ethylene cracking furnaces and heaters. His workflow involves constant coordination across procurement, logistics, and process engineering departments to maintain project integrity.

Looking ahead, Chothani aims to deepen his expertise in the firejet industry while emphasizing mentorship for the next generation of engineers. He balances these professional goals with a commitment to education at home, frequently engaging his children in hands-on experiments to foster their own interest in science and problem-solving.
