Founded in 1996, Classic Brass employs approximately 80 people at its primary factory and headquarters in New York. The company generated 17 million USD in sales throughout 2025, maintaining a strong EBIT margin that the parent company expects will provide immediate earnings per share accretion. Lucas Boselli, Executive Vice President and Head of the Americas Division, noted that the acquisition preserves the brand's heritage of made-to-order manufacturing while leveraging ASSA ABLOY’s distribution network to reach more architects and interior designers.

Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of ASSA ABLOY, described the move as a strategic effort to deepen the company's influence in mature markets. By incorporating Classic Brass’s design-driven product line, the group aims to capture more demand from homeowners and builders seeking custom solutions. The acquired entity will operate under the Residential Business Segment, maintaining its focus on the personalized, artisan-style hardware that has defined its reputation for three decades.
