Xtra Scraps Muse 2 Pro Launch Amid FCC Scrutiny

The sudden reversal follows an aggressive push by the Federal Communications Commission to restrict companies accused of importing banned DJI technology. On July 10, the FCC proposed a $25,000 fine against Xtra and several suppliers linked to the brand Skyrover, citing their failure to disclose the origins of their hardware. A week later, regulators moved to retroactively ban these entities from selling existing inventory in the United States.

Although Xtra’s version of the device received FCC approval on June 17, the official documentation has since vanished from public search databases. While the company maintains that the pause stems from supply chain uncertainty, the regulatory landscape suggests a more permanent blockade. Customers who paid for the reservation will receive automatic refunds within ten business days, accompanied by a 10% discount code for other items on the Xtra storefront, valid for only 30 days.
