Rural King Expands Alabama Footprint With New Gadsden Store
Rural King is deepening its presence in Alabama with the launch of a new storefront in Gadsden, the company’s eighth location in the state. The retailer, which specializes in farm and home supplies, will host a three-day grand opening event starting July 31 to introduce its services to the local community.
Located at 280 N. Third St., the new facility integrates modern shopping conveniences like mobile and self-checkout options while retaining the brand’s traditional focus on personalized service. Chief Operating Officer Michael Ladd noted that the expansion serves as a key step in the retailer’s growth strategy, aiming to support area farmers, homeowners, and outdoor enthusiasts with a broad inventory of essential goods.
The store stocks a diverse range of national brands, including Carhartt, Stihl, and Ariat, alongside products for livestock, automotive maintenance, and power equipment. During the opening weekend through August 2, shoppers who sign up for the RK Rewards program will be entered into a drawing for one of four $500 gift cards. Beyond retail, the company maintains long-standing partnerships with organizations such as 4-H, FFA, and the Gary Sinise Foundation to support youth development and first responders in the regions where it operates.
