Intersignal Unveils Braid Protocol and Roadmap for Public Coordination
Fort Lauderdale-based Intersignal has pushed forward with Braid, an open communication protocol designed to link AI systems, devices, and human operators. Alongside this technical progress, the firm released a roadmap for Pipeline, a public-facing layer intended to translate complex machine signals into actionable data for communities and institutions.

Braid functions as a coordination primitive, moving away from centralized platforms and conversational interfaces. By enabling AI models to exchange structured knowledge and verified state across fragmented environments, the protocol aims to maintain distributed intelligence while improving system interoperability. According to Intersignal operator David Seaman, the initiative focuses on critical applications ranging from disaster response to national defense, prioritizing long-horizon infrastructure over the engagement-driven metrics typical of venture-backed tech.
Pipeline serves as the proposed bridge between these autonomous systems and real-world needs. Rather than operating as a social network, the layer acts as an on-ramp where public entities can submit structured signals. For instance, a community managing a resource crisis could transmit data that is then distilled by Braid into locally relevant, intelligible responses. While Pipeline remains a future capability, the project reflects Intersignal's broader commitment to sovereign AI infrastructure, ensuring that machine-to-machine coordination remains human-directed and secure.
