Liberty HealthShare Secures Fifth Consecutive Candid Gold Seal
Fewer than two percent of the 1.8 million nonprofits profiled by Candid hold a Gold Seal, yet Liberty HealthShare has maintained this distinction for five years running. The Canton-based Christian healthcare sharing ministry recently secured the 2026 designation, citing a continued push for fiscal openness and member-focused stewardship.
The Candid recognition highlights organizations that voluntarily disclose detailed financial data, leadership structures, and mission impact to the public. Beyond the Candid seal, Liberty HealthShare holds a 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator, a 'Give with Confidence' designation from MinistryWatch, and an A+ accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. These accolades serve as independent benchmarks for the ministry's internal operations.
CEO Dorsey Morrow noted that trust remains the primary driver behind these disclosures. By publishing regular updates on financial health and organizational impact, the ministry aims to provide members with the transparency needed to navigate their healthcare sharing options. Earlier this year, the organization reported over $2 million in direct returns to members and implemented a second consecutive reduction in monthly share amounts. While the ministry operates on a voluntary model rather than traditional insurance, it continues to position these external audits as evidence of its long-term viability and commitment to its membership base.
