ICOHS College Integrates AI Training into Business and Healthcare
San Diego-based ICOHS College has launched three specialized certificate programs aimed at embedding artificial intelligence literacy into business operations and medical administration. The nonprofit institution developed these tracks to address a widening gap in the labor market, where employers increasingly demand AI fluency alongside traditional professional skill sets.

The new offerings—AI Business Management, AI Business Technology, and AI Medical Billing and Coding—are available through hybrid campus sessions or nationwide online courses. Executive Director Kieu L. Vo noted that AI has shifted from a niche requirement to a standard expectation across nearly every sector the college serves. By pairing technical AI training with core industry certifications, the institution aims to provide students with a competitive edge in sectors ranging from project management to hospital billing.
Each program targets specific professional demands without requiring prior technical experience. The management track focuses on data-informed decision-making and project leadership, preparing students for certifications like the PMP and Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals. The technology track emphasizes day-to-day utility, training workers to leverage platforms such as Power BI. Meanwhile, the medical billing program addresses the rapid adoption of AI-assisted coding in hospitals and insurance firms. These courses support student accessibility through various financial aid options, including federal grants and military education benefits, as the college continues to scale its career-focused curriculum.
