Geneva Life Holdings Finalizes Acquisition of Geneva International Insurance
Hollywood-based Geneva Life Holdings has completed its acquisition of Barbados-domiciled Geneva International Insurance, securing a specialized platform for private placement life insurance and annuity products. The deal, finalized in March 2026, integrates GII’s decade of regulatory standing and policy administration into the firm’s broader wealth management and asset services portfolio.

The transaction anchors Geneva’s strategy to build a unified financial services ecosystem for high-net-worth families and institutional clients. By acquiring GII, the firm inherits a sophisticated legal and tax architecture alongside established relationships with regulators and counterparties. Management emphasizes that the transition maintains continuity for existing policyholders, with all current licenses, administrative terms, and service commitments remaining unchanged.
David M. Borowsky, Chief Executive Officer of Geneva, noted that the acquisition aligns the insurer’s interests directly with the families and advisors it serves. To support this growth, the company plans to retain and expand its operational team in Barbados. Nikita Gibson, Managing Director of Insurance Operations, confirmed that the firm’s commitment to its home jurisdiction remains a core pillar of the platform’s long-term design. Geneva, which is owned by its employees and management, continues to operate with offices in New York, Miami, and Hollywood, Florida.
