Watercrest Launches $30,000 Scholarship Program for Veterans
To mark the nation’s 250th anniversary, Watercrest Senior Living Group is dedicating $30,000 in scholarship funds to support veterans moving into its Winter Park facility. The initiative provides five qualifying residents with a monthly rental reduction of $500 for one year, provided they secure residency by September 30, 2026.

The program reflects a broader commitment to recognizing military service, according to Bri Stewart, Vice President of Sales Operations. By lowering financial barriers, the organization aims to integrate more veterans into its assisted living and memory care campus at 1501 Glendon Parkway. Kimberly Tesla, Community Relations Director at the Winter Park location, emphasized that the move is intended to provide veterans with high-level care in an environment designed for comfort and accessibility.
Watercrest Winter Park features 75 assisted living and 32 memory care units, including specialized facilities like the Market Street Plaza. The community has garnered five consecutive 'Best in Senior Living' distinctions from U.S. News and World Report. Veterans or their families interested in the scholarship program can reach out to Executive Director Kim Haddon or Kimberly Tesla directly at 321-730-2666 to discuss eligibility requirements and application procedures.
