Island Fin Poké Co. Overhauls Rewards With Gamified Loyalty App
Moving away from simple point-based transactions, Island Fin Poké Co. has launched a gamified loyalty platform designed to deepen customer engagement. Developed with technology firm Hang, the new mobile application replaces traditional rewards with interactive challenges and tiered prizes to bridge the gap between restaurant visits.

The updated app introduces "Quests," a series of rotating monthly challenges and mini-games that encourage users to interact with the brand beyond the checkout counter. By completing specific activities, members unlock Mystery Boxes—time-sensitive rewards that range from complimentary toppings and fountain drinks to full-sized poké bowls. This shift aims to move the franchise from a standard earn-and-burn model toward a more immersive digital experience for its customer base, which the company refers to as its Ohana.
Mark Setterington, founder and CEO of Island Fin Poké Co., noted that the technology allows the brand to maintain a presence in the guest's daily life even when they are not in the restaurant. Chad Fox, co-founder of Hang, emphasized that the platform is built to foster authentic relationships rather than just tracking purchases. The app is currently available for download on both the App Store and Google Play, marking a significant evolution for the Florida-based chain as it continues to expand its national footprint.
