Located in Dalarna County, the hospital’s radiology department now utilizes the system to provide mammography-grade image quality for biopsy samples. The platform features the Image Blender tool, which overlays optical and X-ray data to help medical staff pinpoint surgical clips and microcalcifications within formalin-filled containers. Clinical personnel at the site reported that the technology captures clear, high-resolution visuals even for the smallest biopsy samples, improving overall diagnostic confidence.

This expansion represents the entry of Connecticut-based KUBTEC into the European pathology market. The manufacturer, which specializes in margin assessment technology, designed the hardware to streamline the interaction between radiologists and pathologists. By centralizing high-definition specimen imaging, the facility expects to reduce processing times while maintaining the diagnostic accuracy required for effective cancer surgery support.
