Revelio Labs Debuts Real-Time Tracker for AI Workforce Shifts
Since the debut of ChatGPT in November 2022, the labor market has undergone a silent, granular transformation that aggregate statistics often miss. New York-based Revelio Labs is now attempting to quantify this shift with a tracker designed to monitor how artificial intelligence alters specific job functions in real time.

The tool analyzes proprietary workforce data to measure changes in labor supply, wages, and hiring processes. Instead of viewing AI as a total replacement for human roles, the data suggests that automation is primarily reshaping the specific tasks performed within existing occupations.
Economic data from the firm reveals a stark divergence in hiring patterns. In sectors highly exposed to AI, such as financial analysis and data engineering, employer demand has plummeted 36 percent since late 2022. Conversely, organizations that have successfully integrated AI into their operations reported a 27 percent increase in headcount, suggesting that firms are actively reorganizing to capitalize on new efficiencies rather than simply cutting staff. According to Revelio Labs Chief Economist Lisa Simon, the findings indicate that while the content of work is evolving at a rapid pace, the wholesale automation of entire jobs remains an outlier rather than the industry norm.
