David Frozen Dessert Hits Target Shelves Nationwide
After a frantic online debut that saw inventory vanish in under 30 minutes, David is bringing its high-protein frozen desserts to Target stores nationwide. The expansion marks the brand's first major brick-and-mortar push, positioning its low-calorie, high-protein pints directly in the competitive frozen aisle.

The brand, founded by Peter Rahal, aims to bridge the gap between indulgence and strict nutritional discipline. Each pint features 30 grams of protein, ranging from 210 to 260 calories, with sugar content kept at 2 grams or less. This formula mirrors the company’s existing protein bar lineup, which prioritizes a high protein-to-calorie ratio without sacrificing texture.
Target shoppers can choose from four distinct flavors: Cookie Dough, Triple Peanut Butter, Triple Chocolate, and Vanilla Bean. Each pint is priced at $7.99. Rahal emphasizes that the product was developed specifically to remove the common consumer tradeoff between flavor and health goals, allowing the company to scale into mass retail following its initial direct-to-consumer success in June.
