NRHA and Rural Health Community Forge Alliance to Bolster Rural Care

"Rural Americans deserve the same quality and accessibility of healthcare as anyone living in an urban center," said Larry Bedell, CEO of the National Rural Health Services Corporation, as his organization announced a new partnership with the Rural Health Community to tackle the persistent financial and operational crises facing rural clinics.

The collaboration merges the policy influence and national advocacy of the National Rural Health Association with the specialized, discount-driven support programs managed by the Rural Health Community. By bridging the gap between high-level policy and on-the-ground operational support, the alliance seeks to move rural health organizations away from isolated survival strategies toward a more sustainable, collective model of care delivery.

Jason Griffin, co-founder of the Rural Health Community, stated that the move is intended to break the cycle of providers tackling systemic challenges in isolation. The leadership teams plan to formalize the next phase of this strategy in September at an upcoming industry event held in Kansas City. This partnership aims to provide rural hospitals with the tools, infrastructure, and advocacy necessary to maintain equitable services, ensuring that smaller facilities are no longer forced to navigate complex industry pressures alone.
