CB&I Secures Well Engineering Contract for Abu Dhabi Offshore Block 4
CB&I’s Asset Solutions business has finalized a contract with Cosmo E&P Albahriya Limited to provide comprehensive well engineering services for the exploration and development of Offshore Block 4 in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant expansion of the firm’s operational footprint within the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement tasks the CB&I team with managing drilling, engineering, and operational planning for the offshore site, which was previously awarded to Cosmo during Abu Dhabi’s second competitive bidding round. By leveraging local expertise alongside global technical resources, the project aims to prioritize stable and environmentally conscious production standards in the region.
John Pearson, Chief Operating Officer of CB&I Asset Solutions, noted that the deal serves as a testament to the firm’s regional track record and its strategic focus on targeted geographic growth. Hisato Ishii, General Manager of Cosmo E&P Albahriya, cited the company’s specific technical capabilities as a deciding factor in the collaboration, emphasizing the shared focus on safe campaign execution.
