WEC Energy Group Reports Higher Second-Quarter Earnings
WEC Energy Group posted net income of $299.2 million for the second quarter of 2026, a significant increase from the $245.4 million reported during the same period last year. The Milwaukee-based utility provider attributed the growth to disciplined financial management and operational efficiency despite flat retail electricity demand.

For the first six months of the year, the company recorded net income of $1.1 billion, or $3.36 per share, compared to $969.6 million, or $3.02 per share, in the first half of 2025. Consolidated revenues climbed to $5.5 billion, marking an increase of $337.3 million year-over-year. Scott Lauber, chairman, president and CEO, credited the performance to the company's focus on capital execution and service standards.
While industrial demand from large customers saw a modest 0.9 percent uptick, residential electricity usage dipped by 1.1 percent. When adjusted for weather, retail deliveries rose by 1.2 percent. Looking ahead, WEC Energy Group reaffirmed its 2026 earnings guidance of $5.51 to $5.61 per share, assuming typical weather patterns for the remainder of the year.
