Full Circle Lithium Expands into Vietnam via FireFront Partnership
Full Circle Lithium has appointed FireFront Vietnam as its exclusive distributor, targeting the country’s surging demand for specialized fire suppression technology. The move addresses escalating safety risks tied to the rapid adoption of lithium-ion batteries across Vietnam’s electric mobility, data center, and renewable energy sectors.
The agreement grants FireFront Vietnam control over the distribution, technical training, and market development for FCL-X, a proprietary water-based extinguishing agent. Developed to manage thermal runaway—a condition where battery fires reach extreme temperatures and resist conventional suppression—the technology is designed to cool cells rapidly and prevent reignition. Vietnam has reported an uptick in battery-related fires involving electric scooters and industrial storage, prompting a search for more robust safety standards.
Carlos Vicens, CEO of Full Circle Lithium, stated that the partnership leverages FireFront’s local technical expertise to navigate the complex safety challenges of the region's electrification. For their part, FireFront Vietnam will debut the product line at the upcoming Secutech+ Vietnam conference in Hanoi this September. The deal remains subject to annual performance metrics, marking a strategic effort by the Toronto-based manufacturer to establish a foothold in Southeast Asia as it scales its international commercialization strategy.
