The acquisition integrates Caring Transitions—known for its national franchise network and the CT Bids digital marketplace—into the portfolios of Ridgemont and Coogee Bay. As part of the agreement, Coogee Bay’s Joshua Ellstein and Michael Felman will transition into roles as Co-Executive Chairmen, collaborating with the existing leadership team to scale operations. This deal represents the third transaction for Boxwood Partners within the senior care sector over the past 18 months.

Brian Alas, Managing Director at Boxwood Partners, noted that the firm’s high-touch service model is well-positioned to benefit from current sector tailwinds. Charles Anderson, a partner at Ridgemont, credited Boxwood’s advisory work for providing the strategic clarity necessary to complete the acquisition. Financing for the move was provided by Apogem Capital, LLC. Legal counsel for the buyers was managed by Alston & Bird and Greenberg Traurig, while Livingstone Partners served as the financial advisor to Caring Transitions during the sale process.
