Seaman Corporation Completes Wooster Headquarters Expansion
The ribbon fell on a 10,200-square-foot expansion at Seaman Corporation’s Wooster headquarters this week, marking a significant milestone for the 77-year-old manufacturer. The project adds capacity for a 30% increase in office space and underpins the company's commitment to creating 50 new jobs within Wayne County.
The expansion reflects a strategic push to accommodate a growing workforce and foster collaboration. Beyond adding new offices and open workstations, the design integrates the company’s own industrial fabrics, including a FiberTite roofing membrane and a Lightweight Structures tulip canopy at the north entrance. CEO Jeff Swartz emphasized that the investment provides the necessary infrastructure to support the company’s long-term trajectory while anchoring its footprint in the community.
Support for the project arrived through a multi-agency effort involving Team NEO, JobsOhio, the Wayne Economic Development Council, and the City of Wooster. During the July 28 ceremony, Congressman Max Miller joined local officials to highlight the role of such projects in bolstering American manufacturing. The company, which maintains a total workforce of 600 across facilities in Ohio, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, continues to prioritize domestic production as it scales its operations.
