Scott Vicknair Lawyers Distribute 1,400 Backpacks to New Orleans Students
More than 1,400 students in New Orleans received new backpacks and school supplies on July 25 during the third annual Project Backpack event. Hosted by Scott Vicknair Personal Injury Lawyers at Five-O-Fore Golf, the morning initiative aimed to equip local families with essential tools for the upcoming academic year.
The gathering evolved into a community hub beyond simple supply distribution. Attendees accessed free haircuts from the Sharp Start Foundation, enjoyed treats from Casey's Snowballs, and gathered educational resources provided by The NET Charter High School. Q93.3 provided entertainment, while the firm hosted various prize giveaways to engage the hundreds of families in attendance.
David Vicknair, founding partner of the firm, noted the personal significance of the project. He described the direct feedback from parents as the driving force behind the annual effort. Now a signature initiative for the firm, the program highlights a multi-year commitment to supporting educators and families across Southeast Louisiana.
