Investec Taps Infosys Finacle for Multi-Region Cloud Banking Overhaul
Investec is retiring its legacy systems in favor of the Infosys Finacle SaaS platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. The international bank and wealth manager will deploy the suite across its core markets, including the UK, South Africa, Mauritius, and the Channel Islands, to centralize operations and accelerate digital agility.

The transformation program replaces fragmented infrastructure with a unified, cloud-native foundation. By adopting the Finacle Deposits, Lending, Virtual Accounts, and Liquidity Management suites, the bank aims to streamline corporate cash management while utilizing real-time data and AI to personalize client offerings. The architecture relies on an extensive API suite, designed to integrate Investec into the broader fintech ecosystem and simplify cross-border regulatory compliance.
Lyndon Subroyen, Global Head of Digital and Technology at Investec, described the shift as a fundamental change in the bank’s operating model. He noted that digital tools are no longer auxiliary, but central to the firm's strategy for deepening client relationships and improving internal efficiency. Sajit Vijayakumar, CEO of Infosys Finacle, added that the cloud-native deployment provides the scalability necessary to meet shifting consumer demands. The implementation will be managed through the Microsoft Marketplace, granting the bank a high-availability framework to support its growth across multiple international jurisdictions.
