AAi Labels & Decals Expands Footprint with Guaranteed Labels Acquisition
In a move to broaden its North American production capacity, Jonesboro-based AAi Labels & Decals has acquired Moody, Alabama-based Guaranteed Labels. The deal marks the second major expansion for the Portrait Capital portfolio company, aiming to integrate long-standing family-owned manufacturing expertise into its existing label and decal platform.
Founded in 1988, Guaranteed Labels brings nearly four decades of industry experience and a reputation for specialized technical problem-solving to the AAi platform. The acquisition allows AAi to immediately increase its sales coverage and diversify its product range while maintaining the client relationships that defined the Alabama firm’s growth under founder Scott Noell.
"We built this business one relationship at a time, and I wanted to be sure whoever came next would take care of our customers the way we have," Noell said.
AAi leadership intends to keep the company's focus on its legacy of service. Lynn Higgs, Chief Executive Officer of AAi, noted that the acquisition aligns with the firm’s strategy of partnering with established label converters that prioritize reliability. Justin Burris, Managing Partner at Portrait Capital, confirmed that Noell will remain active within the combined business, ensuring continuity for existing clients while the private equity firm continues its hunt for further niche industrial acquisitions.
