Apple Revenue Climbs Despite Lingering Memory Constraints

With iPhone sales surging 22 percent to $54.25 billion and Mac revenue climbing 29 percent, Apple’s latest earnings report defies the industry-wide drag of a global RAM shortage. The results mark the company’s strongest June quarter on record, even as production costs force difficult pricing decisions across its hardware lineup.

The hardware gains arrive as Apple navigates a supply bottleneck projected to persist until 2027. To manage these pressures, the company implemented price hikes across its Mac and iPad portfolios this June. Notably, the MacBook Neo now retails for $699, a $100 increase from its March launch price. While iPhone pricing remains stable for now, analysts anticipate the upcoming iPhone 18 could see a premium of up to $200, potentially fueled by the integration of a highly personalized Siri AI capable of cross-app task management and screen-aware assistance.

This fiscal milestone carries historical weight as the final report overseen by CEO Tim Cook, who transitions out of the role on September 1. Hardware engineering vice president John Ternus is set to succeed him. As Apple prepares for its fall product cycle, it has also introduced a leasing-style Upgrade program for its primary device ecosystem, aiming to sustain momentum in a market historically prone to pre-launch sales slumps.
