Sieyuan Expands DC Switch Reach with New CSA and AS Certifications
Shanghai-based Sieyuan Electric has secured CSA and AS certifications for its low-voltage DC switch-disconnectors, rounding out a global compliance portfolio that already includes UL, IEC, EN, and GB standards. This move secures the manufacturer’s footprint across North American, Australian, European, and Southeast Asian power markets.
With three decades of experience in power transmission, Sieyuan is scaling its low-voltage DC portfolio to meet the demands of energy storage, solar PV, and data center infrastructure. The company’s current lineup, engineered for 1500 V applications, includes frame-type and rotary switch-disconnectors alongside molded-case circuit breakers.
Sieyuan previously distinguished itself as an early manufacturer to achieve UL certification for 2-pole dedicated DC switches. These units have seen significant deployment, with over 50,000 devices currently operating in grid-connected projects across the United States, Japan, India, and Ukraine. By prioritizing high power density and low operational power consumption, the company aims to reduce maintenance overhead in complex DC systems while maintaining performance standards across varied international environments.
