Higher Purpose Hub Breaks Ground on $3 Million Delta Opportunity Center

Construction begins August 6, 2026, at 238 Issaquena Ave, launching a facility that integrates business support with wellness services and cultural programming. The site will feature a bookstore, a public art gallery, and dedicated space for workforce training and technical assistance. By centralizing these resources, the nonprofit intends to provide local entrepreneurs with direct access to capital and specialized business education.

Dr. Tim Lampkin, founder of Higher Purpose Hub, described the facility as a commitment to the long-term economic vitality of the region. The groundbreaking coincides with the annual Higher Purpose Fest, a three-day celebration of Delta food, music, and wellness. Laura Veazey, executive director of the Delta Regional Authority, noted that the center addresses a critical need for integrated services, ranging from preventive healthcare to professional development, all under one roof. The initiative represents a strategic effort to drive regional prosperity by equipping Delta residents with the tools necessary for sustainable community wealth.
