The acquisition merges two industry players with deep ties to the foodservice and retail sectors. Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery, established in 1985, brings a specialized portfolio that includes its namesake cookie brand, the King Krumb line, and Ecce Panis artisan breads. By absorbing these assets, Rise Baking Company aims to accelerate its innovation pipeline and extend its private-label capabilities across North America.

For the immediate future, Jimmy's will maintain independent operations to ensure continuity for existing retail and foodservice partners. Mark McNeil, CEO of Rise Baking Company, noted that the cultural alignment between the two organizations was a primary driver for the deal. Howard Hirsch, CEO of Jimmy's, and President Michael Pisani both emphasized that the partnership provides the necessary scale to meet changing consumer demand while preserving the craftsmanship that has defined the brand for four decades.
