Parish Tractor Expands Reach with Crain Tractor Acquisition
With the acquisition of Columbia-based Crain Tractor, Hattiesburg’s Parish Tractor now operates nine regional locations. This move marks a strategic shift for the Mississippi company, broadening its service map across Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana while absorbing the established footprint of a long-standing local dealer.

Founded in 2012, Parish Tractor has rapidly scaled its operations by focusing on a mix of construction and agricultural equipment sales, rentals, and maintenance. The addition of the Columbia site brings the firm's total reach to four Mississippi locations, complemented by three in Florida and one each in Alabama and Louisiana. Leadership at Parish Tractor plans to integrate its service model into the new facility, aiming to maintain the operational continuity established by Crain Tractor over its years of service in the area.
This expansion specifically targets the construction and agricultural sectors in the Southeast. By absorbing the existing infrastructure in Columbia, the company intends to provide a more robust inventory and support network to its expanded customer base. Management emphasizes that the transition relies heavily on the foundation built by the previous owners, promising to uphold local community engagement while scaling the brand's presence across the region.
