August 3 marks the final opportunity for investors who purchased GeneDx Holdings Corp. securities between April 16, 2025, and May 4, 2026, to move for lead plaintiff status in a pending class action lawsuit. The litigation alleges the company misled the market regarding its financial health and operational performance.

The complaint filed by Schall Brown & Schwartz LLP centers on claims that GeneDx violated the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 by issuing false and misleading statements. The legal action follows the company’s May 4, 2026, disclosure of its first-quarter financial results. During that report, GeneDx revealed a significant decline in adjusted gross margins, reduced its earnings projections, and acknowledged a $31.3 million impairment charge linked to Fabric Genomics.

Investors who incurred losses during the specified class period are eligible to participate in the recovery effort without incurring out-of-pocket legal fees. While the class has not yet been formally certified, shareholders may contact the firm’s Los Angeles office to discuss their rights and the process for seeking compensation. Those who choose not to act remain absent class members and are currently not represented by counsel in the ongoing proceedings.
