Planet Fitness Faces Securities Fraud Class Action Lawsuit
Investors who purchased Planet Fitness, Inc. securities between November 6, 2025, and May 6, 2026, face a September 14, 2026, deadline to seek lead plaintiff status. Schall Brown & Schwartz LLP is currently organizing a class action lawsuit against the company for alleged violations of the Securities Exchange Act.
The litigation centers on claims that Planet Fitness issued false and misleading statements to the market throughout the specified class period. According to the complaint, the company failed to successfully execute a national price increase for its Black Card membership tier. Furthermore, the firm is accused of overstating its growth projections and exaggerating the effectiveness of its marketing campaigns in attracting new members. These alleged misrepresentations resulted in financial damages for shareholders once the market corrected for the underlying reality of the company's performance.
Shareholders seeking to participate in the recovery effort can contact attorneys Brian Schall and David Schwartz at their Los Angeles office. While the class has not yet been certified, investors may choose to act as a lead plaintiff to represent the interests of the class or remain as absent members. The firm notes that affected investors are not required to pay out-of-pocket fees to join the litigation.
