Barnett enters the executive director role with a five-year track record at the organization, during which he spearheaded the launch of the Career Advancement Program and the opening of the Apollo Technology Center in Whippany. Board Chair Karnel Walker cited Barnett’s deep familiarity with the nonprofit’s operational framework and his commitment to its mission as the primary drivers behind the unanimous appointment.

Winslow leaves behind an organization that has engaged over 350,000 students since its inception in 2009. While transitioning out of the daily management of the Newark and Whippany technology centers, he will continue to influence long-term strategy from his new position on the board. The organization plans to honor his tenure with a reception at the Apollo Technology Center on September 25, 2026.
