Rocco's Tacos Brings South Florida Flavors to Burlington Mall
Rocco Mangel has planted a flag in Massachusetts, opening the 12th location of his South Florida-born restaurant chain at the Burlington Mall. The 5,343-square-foot space marks a personal milestone for the founder, who spent formative summers in the Boston area visiting family roots in nearby Watertown.

The expansion to 75 Middlesex Turnpike represents more than a strategic business move. For Mangel, the site carries deep emotional weight, connecting his current culinary venture to childhood memories of the region and the work ethic instilled by his grandfather. Designed by Sousa Design Architects, the restaurant features artisan Mexican furnishings and seating for 200 guests, complemented by an all-season patio that aims to replicate the brand's signature lively atmosphere.
Under the direction of chef and partner Lisabet Summa, the menu maintains the brand's staples, including tableside guacamole and signature margaritas. Beyond the food, the arrival of the chain has added roughly 85 jobs to the local economy. The restaurant operates daily from 11 a.m. to midnight, offering a full rotation of lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch services.
